A Point of Uncertainty, 2016
Metal and concrete
A slender, branching metal form rises from a concrete sphere. Seated in a hole within the ball, the pole extends into two curved arms, contrasting the density of its base with the apparent fragility of its upper structure.
Positioned near an architectural corner, the sculpture explores how balance and orientation are read through bodily experience. As the viewer moves around it, the relationship between the metal form, its shadow and the surrounding walls shifts, making a familiar boundary feel uncertain.
