A Temporary Interior, 2017
Performance and photographic sequence

A figure approaches three freestanding panels, crouches between them and lies curled against the ground. In the final image, the body has departed; the provisional enclosure remains.

The sequence explores how gesture and posture give shape to space. The panels suggest an interior within the open landscape, establishing a partial boundary between exposure and shelter. As the body lowers itself, the scale and character of that enclosure change.

Presented in monochrome with the texture of analogue video, the images draw attention to small shifts in bodily presence. The empty final frame asks what remains of a space once the action that defined it has ended.
